College and Career Day at Throckmorton Collegiate today! Some of our junior and senior students participated in a welding certification workshop today. Kraig McMillan has 26 years of teaching experience and is an American Welding Society Certified Weld Educator. Mr. McMillan shared his knowledge with the students on different welds. The students practiced their welds and prepared for their certification tests this Spring.

College and Career Day at Throckmorton Collegiate today! Our students participated in a TSIA2 math workshop to brush up on their math and test-taking skills. Aricely Ramirez from Sunray High School has taught for 17 years and is an experienced college prep teacher. She did a fantastic job working with our students to get them ready to pass their college placement tests this spring.

Parents: We encourage each of you to follow this FB page. This is Officer Gomez, a SRO officer in a public school system. He is an expert in online dangers, gaming platforms, social media risks, and practical advice for digital issues. In the past week, he has addressed Roblox dangers, 5 easy social media rules for households, a new TikTok work-around on safety filters, and sending suggestive pictures online. As parents and school personnel it is hard to keep up with constantly evolving dangers that our children have to face daily. He has informative posts about trending issues in schools today. Due to icy roads and parking lots around the school and throughout the community, TCISD will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, January 28. This closure includes all before- and after-school activities.
This decision was made with the safety of both our students and staff in mind.
We would also like to extend a sincere thank you to the city and county for their efforts in clearing roads and sidewalks.
