Boys Basketball Parent Meeting Thursday November 7th at 5:30 in the old gym. This meeting is for HS and JH parents.
Shout out to Mrs. Dick for taking her Government students down to the Depot Library today. Her students were able to vote in the presidential election. What a fantastic field trip for those kiddos in Government class!
Due to ongoing injuries, we are still unable to field a complete team for this week's game against Moran. As a result, the decision has been made to cancel the game. While we know this is disappointing for our players, coaches, and the entire community, the decision has been made with the health and safety of our athletes in mind.
The Christian Center will be hosting a 5th quarter gathering this Friday beginning at 6:30pm. Students are invited to come enjoy an evening of fellowship, food, and great company.
Please join us as we honor our Veterans! Monday, Nov. 11th @ 2PM

Good afternoon, TCISD family. We deeply regret to inform you that due to injuries affecting our football team, we are unable to field a complete squad for this Friday's home game against Woodson. As a result, the game has been canceled.
We understand how disappointing this is for our players, coaches, and fans, and we share in that disappointment. Though this situation is unfortunate, we must consider the health and safety of our student-athletes in making these decisions. Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Let’s rally behind our team as they work towards recovery.

Staff and Board Members received these recently and we wanted to open it to the community to purchase them if you would like. They are nice jackets!
We are sending a big Greyhound thank you to the Depot Library and Diane Balthrop for always making our elementary students' story time special! Today we had a fun fall themed snack, danced out our sillies, learned about the anatomy of a pumpkin, read a book about a square pumpkin, and had a fun pumpkin craft. We appreciate you inventing your time in our kiddos. 💜
Our usual phone number is back up and running for us. Please be advised that you may contact the school front desk by calling 940-849-2411.
Our older elementary students and secondary students learned about vaping yesterday and that formaldehyde, acetone, lead, and over thirty chemicals are in found in the aerosol mist created by vape pens. They also learned vaping can harm the parts of the brain that regulate mood, attention, learning, and impulse control. If you have anyone you know that is interested in quitting vaping call the Texas Quitline at 1-877-YES-QUIT ! The organization was created to support teens and parents stop vaping and have many resources to support anyone interested in getting help.
If your elementary child would like to join in and help sing the National Anthem this Friday night, Nov. 1st at the ball game, please have them gather at the west end of the field by the score board at 6:45 for a 6:55 performance!
Good morning TCISD community! We have been working with our contractor to get the new phone system up and running. As of right now, we have a solid, working phone at the front reception desk that can be reached by calling 940-849-2421.
‼️ MISPRINTED ON SCHEDULE‼️
JH Pups play in Woodson Thursday 10/31 @ 5pm. 💜💛
See what is coming up next week at TCISD!
Please help the Throckmorton County 4-H by bringing canned foods to the school this coming Monday. There will be a box in the front office for canned items. Please help our 4-H students and our community food bank by donating what you can.
We want to congratulate our JH girls cross country team for their many successes this season. These girls worked extremely hard and, under the leadership of Coach Shield, were able to come away with seven first place finishes out of nine races. One of these first place finishes won them the district championship. We are extremely proud of each of these girls, and we thank them for representing TCISD in such a positive way!
Parents and Guardians,
Please drop your child off at the north drop-off area or the "Hug Zone" at the front door of the school each morning. We are no longer allowing parents to come into the building during breakfast to help keep the building secure and to follow our new safety guidelines. This procedure also helps build independence in our students. After parents say goodbye at the door, our staff will assist students to the cafeteria and help them get their breakfast and open milk, yogurt, etc. if needed. Older siblings may help smaller siblings if they like. Thank you for your cooperation and for helping keep our students safe.
Sincerely,
Rhonda Riley
TCISD Elementary
