As Kids Count Director I don't feel like we are 100% ready for Kids Count Kickoff, so we are postponing it for one week. Kids Count Kickoff will be August 21st from 6-7:30 pm. We will have Kids Class and youth tomorrow evening from 6-7:30 pm. Just like we have had all summer. Prayer meeting and Bible Study will be from 6:30-7:30pm. Rest up for a week and be ready!😊
Here are a few update pictures of the new school! It's getting closer to being ready for move in. We're excited to see the progress being made throughout the building, and we're looking forward to moving in very soon!

We are happy to welcome back to the TCISD campus our Region 9 mental health counselor, David Daniels, MA, LMFT. Mr. Daniels has served our campus the last 3 semesters and he provides mental health counseling to our students and faculty at no cost to the family or the district. If you are interested in signing your student up for his services you can scan the QR code and fill out the form and he will contact you. If you have any questions you can email or call him directly to find out more about the program. Mr. Daniels is also on our campus on Tuesdays and he would love to meet with you personally. Vivian Navarro is our other daycare provider with such a gentle spirit! We appreciate all she does for our babies and would be lost without her! 💜

First, we have Diane Maley. This summer Ms. Maley completed the National Institution of Child Care Management training and is now our Daycare Director. We appreciate all you do for our Mini Hounds, and congratulations on earning your certification! 💜
We're off to a great start for the 2024-2025 school year! Our 4th and 5th graders were busy this morning making sure that our flags are flying high!
We finished our inservice week with a superb Italian meal and generous door prizes from our friends at the Church of Christ! We are not sure if other schools receive the kindness and support TCISD does but we sure hope they do! Thank you to all that were involved in getting the luncheon together, we truly appreciate it. 💜
We have updated our in-town bus route and created ESTIMATED times for morning pick-up and afternoon drop off. Please see the attached image for this new information. Please have your child at the designated bus stop five minutes prior to the listed pick-up time in the mornings.
A delicious stuffed potatoes meal was provided for us by our friends at the Methodist Church this week. Their kindness blesses us more than we can express and we appreciated it so much. 💜
Throckmorton Collegiate ISD is blessed with a truly wonderful group of staff members! Students start back this coming Monday, and these folks have done an awesome job preparing for a great start. 2024-2025 is going to be the best year yet!

The Baptist Church treated the staff at TCISD to another delicious meal of Mexican food, generous door prizes, and a ton of school supplies to help prepare for the upcoming year! We are blessed beyond measure by their hospitality and kindness. Thank you to all that were a part of making this event happen. 💜

Help us welcome Emily Whetzel who has recently joined our staff and will be assisting Mrs. Collins with Pre-K.
Mrs. Whetzel is originally from Chicago but has lived in Texas for almost 8 years. She and her family moved to Throckmorton a year ago and love their new town. Mrs. Whetzel and her husband Devin have 4 children. She says she is looking forward to an exciting year of learning, growth, and fun!
