We have another new face around the school. Please help us welcome Teresa Kinney as our new Special Education teacher!
"Hello! I’m Teresa Kinney. I am very excited to have joined the staff at Throckmorton CISD. I have 15 plus years in education as well as experience in corporate America. The majority of those years have been spent in the metroplex. Being in a small rural community has been a dream of mine for several years. I grew up in Rochester and have missed the atmosphere of a small community. I am eager to get to know the students and community members. I am excited for this new adventure!"
Meet the Greyhounds, which was originally scheduled to take place on Monday (7/29/2024), has been postponed. This event will be rescheduled, and the date/time/location will be communicated once the details have been decided.
The clothes swap meet was a great success! We had such a great turnout, and so many people benefitted from the generous contributions of our community.
Thank you to Mrs. Susie Oliver and the group of individuals who helped to make this happen. Thank you to Interbank for the donation of backpacks. Finally, thank you to Amber Myer for the donation of the cookies for our visitor! Our kiddos are blessed to have such great support!
Due to no internet in the gym, we are moving registration in the high school!
Please enter in the high school main door!
We are hosting a clothing swap meet here at the old cafeteria tomorrow (7/22/2024) from 6:30pm - 8:30pm. Please come by and check out what is available. We have a wonderful group of individuals who put this on, and everything is for the benefit of our students and community. Hope to see you there!
Please remember that we are hosting our annual school registration even this coming week. Registration is going to run from 4:30pm - 6:00pm each day.
Elementary returning students register Monday (7/22/2024), elementary students new to the district register Tuesday (7/23/2024), junior high returning students register Wednesday (7/24/2024), junior high and high school students new to the district register Thursday (7/25/2024), and high school returning students register Friday (7/26/2024).

Our new school building is getting closer to being complete! The TCISD admin team is working to make plans for a strong start to the new year, and the status of the new building is a large part of this planning.
We are expecting to start in the new building, but we are also making contingency plans if the new building is ready in time. We know that our community stakeholders are anxiously awaiting news and information on the new building. Please take a look at the pictures for a sneak peak.
More updates will be coming over the next few days and weeks as we lead up to the start of the 2024-2025 school year!
Please come out and take part in this year's clothes meet on July 22nd from 6:30pm - 8:30pm in the old cafeteria.
This is a great opportunity to get your little ones ready for school in August!
Good afternoon Throckmorton! We have finalized our school supply lists for all grade levels at TCISD for the 2024-2025 school year. Please find your child's grade level and take a look at what is requested by their teachers.
ATTENTION INCOMING KINDERGARTEN AND INCOMING 7TH GRADE PARENTS!
Please be aware of the fact that all Throckmorton indoor facilities are to remain locked and off limits when no appropriate staff supervision is available. While this change is a cause for concern in our community, the reality is that the district cannot and will not place any individual at risk of harm or injury by allowing access to indoor facilities when no appropriate staff supervision is present.
Coach Lowery and Coach Shield have been asked to create open gym hours so that the gym can be opened and proper staff supervision can take place while students use the gym.
We are fully committed to the safety and security of our students and staff members, and this change is being made to correct areas of weakness that we have identified. Please direct any questions, comment, or concerns related to this change to Dr. Mims at mims@throck.org or come by in person.

Attention elementary parents. We are finalizing summer school plans for students that were in grades 3-5 during the 2023-2024 school year. Emails will be sent out within the next 24 hours to parents of students in need of summer school remediation. This email will include a referral letter explaining our rationale for inviting your child to the school for summer remediation. We will also be sure to make contact with parents by phone to go over the plan and answer questions.
